Tvrdonice: Hotels and Accommodation

A total of 240 bird species have been recorded in the Soutok-Tvrdonicko area; it serves as a breeding, wintering, and stopover site during migration. The eastern part of Tvrdonice is largely covered by floodplain forest.

The Stibůrkovská jezera Nature Reserve preserves former river channels of the Kyjovka, intact meadow and wetland vegetation, small pools, and fragments of floodplain forest. These habitats provide refuge for rare plant and animal species.

The Ostrý and Vinohrádky hills are located near Tvrdonice. The wider regional area also includes Barbajky and Vyšicko [Mutěnice], which are also hills.

The Slovácká chalupa in the ethnographic area of Tvrdonice was inspired by a house from Tvrdonice that was built in 1895 for the National Ethnographic Exhibition in Prague.

Pohansko and Holíčsky zámok are castles in the vicinity of Tvrdonice. Svätá Margaréta is a church there. Šaštín is a ruin in the wider regional area around Tvrdonice.

The amphitheatre in Tvrdonice can be rented. The Stibůrkovská jezera Nature Reserve can be reached via a turn-off before the entrance to Tvrdonice.

A marked turn-off from cycle route 43A leads through the floodplain forest to Tvrdonice. Tvrdonice is also the starting point for a popular route to the neighbouring Slovak village of Moravský Svätý Ján.

The Tvrdonské krojované hody festival takes place in early August and is one of the local traditions of Tvrdonice.
