Vysoké Popovice: Hotels and accommodation

The first written mention of Vysoké Popovice dates back to 1228. The parish church of St. John the Baptist is located in the village. It was originally a Romanesque wooden church, probably dating from the 12th century, and was later replaced by a masonry church. It was rebuilt in 1910 and consecrated on 23 October 1910.

The municipal areas planted with fruit trees between 1910 and 1912 now bear the name of their initiator, Arnošt Dusík. The Panská hospoda inn is also one of the village's historic landmarks; it dates back to 1755.

Vysoké Popovice railway station is located on the railway line 240 between Brno and Jihlava. The station building, or covered shelter, as well as all platforms at Vysoké Popovice station are wheelchair accessible.

The Stezka permoníků trail is suitable for cycling or hiking. Most of this route is planned along forest and field paths as well as avenues; only a short section runs along a road between Vysoké Popovice and Příbram.

The beach volleyball court in Vysoké Popovice can also be used without a reservation when court capacity is available. Due to increased interest in the sports facility, a reservation system was also introduced.

Cesta pohádkovým lesem takes place every year on the first Saturday in September. At the water, the municipality warned that the staircase leading from the dam to the Doubí water reservoir is extremely slippery. Visitors were asked to use the opposite beach to enter the water.
