Zhoř: Hotels and accommodations

A pilgrimage mass in Zhoř is associated with the feast of St. Cyril and St. Methodius at the chapel dedicated to them. The Easter custom of the koledníci, known as “mrskut,” is a living tradition in Zhoř. On the eve of St. Nicholas Day, the children in Zhoř are visited by Mikuláš, an angel, and devils; this is one of the municipality’s longest-maintained traditions.

The communal “Pálení čarodějnic” on April 30 is also one of Zhoř’s living traditions. The small Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes on the road to Rašov was built in 1900. In 1892, a stone cross was erected next to the chapel in Zhoř.

A larger part of Zhoř’s planning area lies in Lysicko Nature Park. The protected Zhořská mokřina natural monument, covering an area of 3.37 hectares, is also located in Zhoř’s planning area.

Outside the built-up area, Zhoř has a harmonious landscape in which human influences are in balance with natural elements and which possesses relatively high scenic value.

Zhoř has an established network of publicly accessible special-purpose paths. These paths are mostly continuations of local roads, provide access to agricultural and forestry areas, and improve the permeability of the landscape. Zhoř and its cadastral area are frequent destinations for cycling tourism.

The fire pond in Zhoř is used for swimming in summer at one’s own risk.
