Popovice: Hotels and Accommodation

Flint tools, stone axes, as well as Neolithic shards and vessels were found at U Chebzů. Human skeletal remains with a necklace made of fired clay beads, on which blue eyes had been painted, were discovered at Nívky. The finds date from the Neolithic period between 4500 and 2000 BC.

The bell tower in Popovice contains a painting of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary. It was painted by the Rajhrad Benedictine Vojtěch Slouk.

The monument to those who fell in the First World War in Popovice is considered the oldest in the entire microregion. Abbot Prokop Å up consecrated it in 1920.

The Pastvisko Reservoir is used by the local angling club for fish farming and provides a habitat for many animal species, especially amphibians.

Animal species protected under Czech law occur in the Farářka wetland.

The Rajhradsko educational trail passes through Popovice. Its first section, 15.7 km long, leads through Rajhrad, Popovice and Holasice.

The Brněnské vinařské cyklostezky run near Popovice. The main walking route in Rajhradská bažantnice is marked on the trees with yellow arrows.

A railway halt was established in Popovice in 1914. The village can be reached by train from Brno.
