A red-marked hiking route begins at a railway station in the Děčín III–Staré Město district, then leads through Hoštice nad Labem and continues south to Buková hora.

The cadastral area of Hoštice nad Labem also includes a 460 m-long footpath from Všeraz to Hoštice and a 46 m-long section from Nebočady to Hoštice, extending as far as house no. 128. For the Děčín–Lesná area, the 2024 update of the cycling network of the Ústecký Region uses the designation “Děčín Lesná – XXXV Hoštice”.

Nature

The natural features and protected areas associated with the cadastral area of Hoštice nad Labem include the České středohoří Protected Landscape Area and the Porta Bohemica European Site of Community Importance. The cadastral area contains forest areas, arable land and permanent grassland.

The mountains of Netterskoppe and Vrabinec are located in the vicinity of Hoštice. The Hrad Střekov castle and the mountains of Kozí vrch and Dobrná are also located in the surrounding area.

History

Hoštice was one of ten settlements that developed in the first half of the first millennium AD in connection with the Děčany tribe. The ten settlements in this historical group were named after tribal leaders known as Vladykas. The historical settlement group to which Hoštice belonged arose on both banks of the Labe.
