The Lukavec château complex dates back to the second half of the 18th century. Lukavec Château stands on the site of an older fortress founded in 1543 by Mikuláš Kuneš.
Culture and History
Between 2019 and 2020, Lukavec Château was completely reconstructed. The Chapel of Saint Procopius is located in Lukavec. After the 2002 flood, it was repaired and reconsecrated at the end of 2003; a festive Mass was held there on 26 December 2003.
Cycling
The 56-km cycling tour in the Bohemian Garnet region includes 304 m of ascent and 304 m of descent. The route follows minor roads through Keblice and Lukavec back to Lovosice; as a circular route, it runs between Lovosice and the surrounding towns.
Surroundings
The historic site “Theresienstadt concentration camp and ghetto” is located in the vicinity of Lukavec. The ruins of Hazmburk and Hrádek, as well as the Lovoš, Jezerka, Košťál and Hradiště u Hlinné mountains, are also nearby. Hrad Střekov Castle is located in the wider regional surroundings of Lukavec.

Lukavec has a sports complex with a football pitch, bowling alley, children's playground, tennis court and streetball court. Lukavec has rail and bus connections; the D8 motorway is in the immediate vicinity.
