Býčkovice is located on the Luční potok stream at the southeastern edge of the České středohoří, in the lower part of a broad valley. The green-marked Býčkovický Circuit was designated as a 1.5 km hiking route in 2021. It starts and ends in the town center at the so-called Hroznatova zvonička and leads through the eastern surroundings of Býčkovice. Along the way, it passes the slopes of Vinice and includes two viewpoints as well as several other views across the landscape.

Culture and townscape

A late Baroque parish house with a gate has been preserved in Býčkovice; the village also contains preserved wayside shrines known in Czech as Boží muka. In the eastern part of Velký Újezd Castle stands an octagonal tower bearing the year 1658, commemorating its reconstruction.

Masopust is also among the documented local events: in the documented year, it was held in Býčkovice for the third time and was popular with locals and visitors alike.

Hiking and cycling routes

From Luční Mlýn, you can follow a yellow-marked hiking trail to Velký Újezd Castle. A renovated path connects Býčkovice with Ploskovice Castle.

The official cycling route from Ploskovice to Úštěk passes through Býčkovice. It is 25 km long, easy, and suitable for trekking bikes.

Býčkovice campsite is located 350 m from the nearest bus stop, Býčkovice (náves).

Other places: Ploskovice, Levín, Drahobuz, Lhotka Nad Labem, Evaň, Budyně Nad Ohří, Kyškovice, Čížkovice.

To the overarching travel overview: Okres Litoměřice.
