Račice is home to a 2,350-meter-long water course. The Labe Arena Račice is a leading European center for rowing and sprint canoeing; major international competitions are held there every year.

Water and Sports

The Labe Arena Račice course also provides a unique setting for dragon boat racing. The water course in Račice is one of three comparable artificial racing tracks in the world. In addition to the main course, it has a return channel for boats to the starting line.

The more than two-kilometer-long water course at the Labe Arena Račice is considered an ideal place for recreational and sport fishing. At the Labe Arena Račice, there is a terrace by the water course where you can enjoy coffee or ice cream.

Culture and Village Character

The Račice belfry stands in front of house no. 17 in the street settlement. It is a wooden post structure with a small bell beneath a conical metal roof. The bell is 20 cm wide and 25 cm high; it bears a relief of Saint Lawrence and an ornamental relief border.

House no. 17 in Račice has a rarely preserved grooved upper floor and is listed as a cultural monument. A belfry was built in the village square of Račice based on old photographs.

Cycling

The Labe Arena of the Ústí nad Labem Region in Račice is located directly on the Elbe Cycle Route. The completed section of the Elbe Cycle Route between Račice and Hněvice runs through the Račice area and is more than four kilometers long. This section includes a branch to Hněvice railway station.
