Culture and Architectural History

Kostel sv. Maří Magdaleny was originally Gothic and was later rebuilt in the Baroque style. The agricultural estate at house no. 61 is based on a two-storey hop farm built in 1808. The Baroque fountain from Střížovice dates from 1695 and was the first structure relocated to Zubrnice in 1977. The Kupecký krám – Franz a Oswald Saidl, house no. 74, houses an exhibition on mangling and laundry.

Museums and Mills

The Zubrnice Railway Museum displays the Tatra Dm6 passenger railcar from the film Ostře sledované vlaky as well as a Hungarian railcar from the film Rebelové. Visitors can also see a historic waiting room and railway traffic office; a wooden section presents the history of the Velké Březno – Lovečkovice – Verneřice – Úštěk horní nádraží (LGWA) railway line. The Zubrnice Open-Air Museum contains a working small farm mill in Mlýnské údolí. The working Valšův mlýn is accessible in the valley of the Luční potok.

Trails and Transport

Stage IV of the Výroční stezka leads from Buková hora via Zubrnice to Homole u Panny, Sedlo and Litýš. Red- or green-marked hiking trails lead from Zubrnice. Tourist line T3 operates on weekends and public holidays from 28 March to 1 November 2026.

Surroundings

Hrad Střekov, a castle, is located in the vicinity of Zubrnice. Kostel Nanebevzetí Panny Marie, a church, is also located nearby. Kozí vrch, Vrabinec, Trpasličí kameny and Netterskoppe are considered mountains in the vicinity of Zubrnice. In the wider region around Zubrnice are the Theresienstadt concentration camp and ghetto, a historic site, as well as Hrad Kysperk, a ruin.
