Ryjice: Hotels and Accommodations

History

Construction of a workers’ sanatorium called “Sanatorium pro plicně choré” began in Ryjice in 1895. The first pavilion of the sanatorium opened in 1902 and was named “HELLENENHEIM”. The former sanatorium complex in Ryjice is a state-protected cultural monument.

Culture

Blansko Castle, formerly also called Blankenštejn, was founded at the end of the 14th century. The remains of the castle palace, as well as remnants of bastions and the tower, have been preserved in the ruins of Blansko Castle. Blansko Castle remains open to the general public.

Hiking

A marked hiking trail leads from Blansko Castle down to Ryjice via the yellow trail. A 4 km return route of the NPÚ excursion leads from above Ryjice via the green trail to Neštěmice, where public transport is available. The hiking trail via Blansko Castle continues through Ryjice to Neštěmice and ends there at a public transport stop in Ústí.

Hrad Střekov Castle is located in the surroundings of Ryjice. Kozí vrch hill is nearby. The Trpasličí kameny, Vrabinec and Glaberův vrch mountains are also located in the surroundings of Ryjice.

The ruins of Hrad Kysperk Castle are located in the wider regional surroundings of Ryjice. The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and Ústí nad Labem Zoo Park are also located nearby.
