Malečov: Hotels and accommodations

Malečov already appears in 1057 in the founding charter of the Litoměřice Chapter. At that time, the place was mentioned as Malešův dvůr and comprised six homesteads and a garden.

Culture and history

In Čeřeniště, the Church of Panny Marie Pomocnice křesťanů stands on a steep slope atop an artificially created terrace, forming a distinctive landmark of the village. The Chapel of Saint Anthony of Padua was built in 1932 and renovated in 1994. The Church of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist is a single-nave plastered building; its masonry combines rubble stone with local basalt.

Nature

Babinské louky is located in the cadastral areas of Babiny I and Čeřeniště in the municipality of Malečov and overlaps with the České středohoří Protected Landscape Area. The area is home to a population of the critically endangered bellflower Adenophora liliifolia, as well as other significant plant species found in moist submontane meadows.

Hiking and viewpoints

The nearby Lucemburkův kopec lookout tower is a four-storey wooden tower standing 14.3 meters high. A blue-marked hiking trail leads in the direction of Malečov. Bus 453 can be used from Malečov for the return journey from a hike to Lucemburkův kopec.

Horse riding

Kamenná stáj Čeřeniště offers horseback rides and focuses particularly on riding lessons for children aged 9 to 15.

Winter

At the ski lift, operations depend on the current snow conditions.
