Budeč: Hotels and Accommodations

Part of the cadastral area of Budeč is occupied by the Babín Nature Reserve, which belongs to the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area. The source area of the Oslava is located behind the Babín pond. The Babín Nature Reserve covers 218 ha, of which 132 ha comprise the actual nature reserve.

Budeč’s mining history is connected with the František mine. From Budeč, an adit was driven in 1845–1846 to drain the mine, reaching a length of approximately 640 m in 1847. Historical iron ore mining in Budeč employed around 15 miners.

Water drainage was also part of the technical facilities of the historic mine: water from the shaft of the historic mine in Budeč was diverted through an adit to a pond near the flax-drying shed.

The Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows stands on Budeč village square. It received the title “Prestigious Building of the Vysočina Region 2008.” Together with its bell tower, it forms a new landmark and point of orientation on Budeč village square.
