Zubří: Hotels and Accommodation
The landscape around Zubří is gently hilly at an elevation of 500 to 800 m and is predominantly covered with coniferous forests.
Culture
The Zuberská Chapel was consecrated on 25 September 1904. Since 1968, a church service has been held there regularly on the feast day of Saints Peter and Paul; on this day, the inhabitants of Zubří celebrate the Zuber pilgrimage.
The tradition of the Masopust masked procession in Zubří was revived in 2001. During the procession, the masks make their way through all the houses of Zubří accompanied by music. Martinské hody is celebrated on the Sunday closest to the feast of Saint Martin, but not every year.
In the garden of house no. 12 in the direction of Pohledec, almost hidden by the tree crowns, stands a small technical monument: a windmill from the 1930s. It was formerly used to pump water and supply the entire property, including the garden; during the war, it was also used provisionally to grind flour.
The “Stopa Járy Cimrmana” was created by children from the Černé ovce camp, 2nd session, near Bidláky, and was ceremonially unveiled on 16 August 2006 at the “Téčko” behind the BVV.
Nature
Zubří is located on a blue-marked hiking trail in the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area. The local hiking trails are mostly short, have moderate climbs and lead through a quiet, picturesque landscape.
An approximately seven-kilometre circular trail begins in Zubří and leads through the natural surroundings. The circular trail heads towards Zuberský rybník; there it also follows the route of the educational trail “In the Footsteps of the Last Wolf”.
The surroundings of Zubří offer numerous quiet, lightly trafficked routes suitable for cycling. The long-distance Posázavská cycling route is signposted along road III/36039.
