Ždánice: Hotels and Accommodations

House No. 18 in Ždánice is an example of 18th-century folk architecture. Near the former school in Ždánice stands an iron cross dating from 1933. Another iron cross stands in the fields in the direction of Bystřice and dates from 1881. In the village park of Ždánice stands a marble cross that was erected in 1918 and restored in 1949.

Ždánice is documented as having been owned by Doubravník Monastery from 1335 onward. Until 1409, the village of Ždánice belonged to the Pernštejn family; the Kos family is documented in Ždánice until 1538. The father of the sculptor Vincenc Makovský also came from Ždánice.

The Svratecká hornatina Nature Park protects the varied landscape of the Moravian foreland of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, including the Svratka Valley and its tributaries. It also encompasses characteristic settlements and monuments. The forests near Ždánice are suitable for walks. In winter, there are cross-country ski trails near Ždánice with connections as far as the Nové Město na Moravě ski resort.

Near Ždánice, the Aueršperk castle ruins are freely accessible via a terrace path from the valley floor and via a direct ascent from the south. Also near Ždánice, the Karasín lookout tower is accessible every day of the year. Near Ždánice, the Pyšolec castle ruins can be reached from Zubštejn via a red-marked trail.

The Cyrilometodějská Trail passes through Ždánice and reaches the square in Bystřice nad Pernštejnem via the Rácová recreational area with ponds. The Rácová educational trail is an easy, 2.5 km route from Bystřice nad Pernštejnem that ends on the road south of Ždánice.

A 70 km cycling loop route runs through the Zubří area on cycle route 5180 through Ždánice in the direction of Karasín. The loop is approximately 70 km long and runs mainly on paved roads. The 19 km Z6 “Scenic View” cycling loop leads from Bystřice nad Pernštejnem via Ždánice to Karasín. The 19 km Z4 hiking route “From the Lookout Tower to the Ancient Little Church” reaches Ždánice from Bystřice nad Pernštejnem via the Rácová area and then continues to the Karasín lookout tower.
