Dalečín: Hotels and Accommodation

The landscape around Dalečín is part of the Svratecká hornatina Nature Park. Chudobínská borovice is up to 350 years old and won the European Tree of the Year competition in 2020. Entering the area around Chudobínská borovice is strictly prohibited because of its location in the protected zone of the Vír Reservoir; it can be viewed from the lookout point on the opposite bank.

The Svratecká Water Management Educational Trail begins in Dalečín and runs for a total of 16.1 km along the Svratka River, along the right bank of the Vír Reservoir and via forest paths to Švařec. There are numerous stations along the route with educational texts, maps and aerial photographs; the Svratecká Water Management Educational Trail also runs along the Vír Reservoir and the Vírská skalka Nature Reserve.

The first written mention of Dalečín Castle dates from 1358; at that time, it came into the possession of the Lords of Pernštejn. Wall and ceiling paintings from the late 14th century have been preserved in the base level of the tower of the Church of St. James. The largest and oldest bell in the tower of the Church of St. James is called Jakub and was cast in 1561 by the bell founder Adam from Velké Meziříčí. The Church of St. James houses an organ from the early 19th century and three altars.

The municipality's event calendar documents HoPáDal as a mountain biking event in Dalečín in the years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2026.

The Dalečín Ski Area offers ski trips and ski courses. Instruction in the basics of skiing and snowboarding is offered at the Dalečín Ski Area. Ski equipment is also available for hire at the Dalečín Ski Area; ski bindings are fitted and adjusted by arrangement.
