Podolí: Hotels and accommodations
Podolí combines a clearly defined regional cultural connection with marked trails, cycling routes, and landscape features. The municipality is part of the regional folk architecture zone “Horácký dům” (“House of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands”).
Culture
A cross, a skull, the name Gohial, and the year 1785 are carved into the rock Gohialův kámen. The rock commemorates a tragic event in which a stone killed one of the stonemasons who made stone troughs there. Gohialův kámen lies near the Bobrůvka River on the road toward Bobrová. A memorial plaque for legionnaires was also unveiled in Podolí on October 9, 2011.
Trails and cycling routes
The marked Mlynářská stezka runs through Podolí along roads III/36041 and III/3884. A section of the Okolím Bobrové educational trail extends into the southeastern part of the municipality of Podolí.
The “Mezi rybníky a lesy” cycling tour passes through Podolí, Radešínská Svratka, and Řečice. The marked route is signposted with blue arrows and the number 2. The charity cycling tour “SE ŽĎASEM NA KOLE DĚTEM ŽĎÁRSKÝMI VRCHY” also passed through Podolí.
Landscape
Podolí is located in the “Novoměstsko–Bystřicko” landscape character area. The mountains Ambrožný and Dědkovská hora are located in the vicinity of Podolí. The mountains Babylon and Víckov are situated in the wider regional surroundings.
