Skrdlovice: Hotels and Accommodation

The small U Hrocha glassworks in Škrdlovice focuses on glass tourism. At the U Hrocha glassworks, demonstrations of the production of hand-shaped glassware are offered with commentary under the direction of glass master Oldřich Šimpach. By prior arrangement, visitors can make their own glass product under the guidance of a glass master.

The former glassworks in Škrdlovice was founded by Emanuel Beránek in 1940 and ceased production in 2008.

A hiking trail through Škrdlovice leads across the village square, passing the Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius. On the square in front of the chapel stand statues of these saints as well as a statue of Saint Wenceslas.

The Škrdlovická trasa za skláři is a 35-kilometre cycling excursion that starts in Škrdlovice and follows in the footsteps of the former glassmakers.
