The municipal area of Věstín lies on slopes descending into the Svratka valley. The landscape of Věstín is characterised by an alternation of meadows, fields and deep forests.
Nature
Bukovce Hill rises above Věstín and offers views of the neighbouring municipality of Chlum-Korouhvice and the Vír Reservoir.
A recommended route to the Hraběcí stolek viewpoint begins on the road between Věstínek and Bolešín; from there, the viewpoint offers views of a meander of the Svratka and the Vír II Reservoir.
The Horní les observation tower is 59 metres high; its observation platform is 38 metres above the ground.
Activities
Věstín offers good opportunities for cycling and hiking in summer.
The “Forgotten World of the Svratka Highlands” cycle route passes through Věstín at kilometre 25.9 and returns to Velké Tresné at kilometre 39.7.
This cycle route uses Class III roads, paved local roads, as well as surfaced forest and field paths with earth or gravel surfaces.
When there is sufficient snow cover, Věstín is also suitable for cross-country skiing.
Culture and History
The paired farmstead No. 1 in Věstín is a protected monument.
The first written mention of Věstín’s three local parts dates from around 1349.

On 20 June 2026, Věstín will host the 19th edition of the Věstínský pohár, an entertaining firefighting competition.
