Vír: Hotels and Accommodation
Vír offers a variety of trails, viewpoints and special facilities in a compact area. The Vír ferratas are routes secured with steel cables above the Svratka River and the Vír Reservoir that beginners can also manage.
Nature and Trails
The Vír Educational Trail leads from Továrna to the dam. It also includes a branch to the Klubačice rock viewpoint. On the Klubačice rock rising above the Svratka River, there is a narrow viewing platform at a height of just under 100 m, secured with a railing.
At the Krabička climbing hut on the right bank of the Svratka River, reserved equipment for the ferrata can be collected. At Uhelna, it is also possible to jump from a platform installed at a height of 26 m.
Parking is available directly on the Továrna grounds.
Cycling and Winter
The Vír Gravel Tour is an easy 34-km route on gravel roads. The Vír 8 E-Bike Route is a moderately difficult wilderness trail.
Ledová stěna Vír is an artificial icefall recognized as a training ground by the ČHS and used for ice-climbing practice.
Culture and Mills
The Vírský mlýnek is a water-powered mechanism with moving figures near the Bystřice stream in Vír. In 2007, the municipality of Vír commissioned a replica of the Navrátil mill mechanism.
