Radňoves: Hotels and Accommodation

Radňoves lies on the edge of the Velkomeziříčský Bioregion and directly borders the Sýkořský Bioregion. From a biogeographical perspective, the municipality belongs to the Hercynian subprovince.

The Radňoves area has transitional flora from both bioregions, with submontane species such as hairy sedge, three-leaved cuckoo flower and round-leaved sundew.

Víckov is a mountain in the vicinity of Radňoves. Duforty, Ambrožný and Babylon are mountains in the surrounding area of Radňoves.

The fauna of Radňoves includes, among others, eastern and western hedgehogs, noble crayfish, freshwater pearl mussels, fire salamanders, smooth newts, sand lizards and smooth snakes. According to the municipality, some of the species mentioned are listed in the Red Book.

The Firefighting Equipment Museum in Radňoves was established from 2008 onward by volunteer firefighters. It preserves written, photographic and film archive materials. The museum can be visited by prior telephone appointment.

The Radňoves fire brigade still preserves a hand-operated, four-wheeled horse-drawn fire engine; among other things, the firefighters took part in the filming of the movie “Andělské oči” with it.

On 26 August 2018, Radňoves hosted the 22nd meeting of historic firefighting equipment enthusiasts, attended by more than one hundred firefighters with historic equipment.

Next to the chapel in Radňoves stands a stone cross donated by the residents of Radňoves in 1913.

Cycling Route 5245 runs from Nová Ves via Radňoves to the junction near Vidonín.

Veveří Castle, a castle, lies in the wider regional surroundings of Radňoves. Brno Zoo, a zoo, is also located in the wider regional surroundings of Radňoves.
