Havlickuv Brod: Hotels and Accommodations

The Havlíčkův dům is a Late Gothic building with a preserved barrel vault and Gothic cellars. The Havlíčkův dům houses museum exhibitions on Karel Havlíček Borovský – his life and legacy – and on Panuška’s ghostly figures.

Štáflova chalupa is a late-medieval house in Havlíčkův Brod and is associated with the Štáfl artist family as well as with the historical architecture of Havlíčkův Brod. Štáflova bašta is a corner tower of the city fortifications. It houses a permanent exhibition about the city’s distinguished son, Otakar Štáfl. Štáflova bašta can be visited as part of guided tours offered by the Havlíčkův Brod Tourist Information Centre from June to September.

The Vysočina Gallery and Museum in Havlíčkův Brod present cultural heritage primarily in the fields of visual arts, history and ethnography.

The Baroque Church of svatá Rodina was built between 1679 and 1733 at an Augustinian monastery. It hosts concerts, weddings and other cultural events.

In the Church of svatý Vojtěch, a stone tomb slab was discovered in 2000; it is considered the oldest known inscription monument in Havlíčkův Brod. Its present appearance dates back to a renovation at the end of the 16th century and combines a Renaissance barrel vault with Gothic forms.

Budoucnost Park covers approximately 25 hectares and includes a cascade of ponds and small pools in the natural valley of the Cihlářský potok stream. In its southern section stands the free-standing Church of Nejsvětější Trojice, with a hexagonal central plan.

The outdoor swimming pool in Havlíčkův Brod has a lap pool for fitness swimming and a relaxation pool with a current channel, water jets, massage jets, slides and a children’s paddling pool.

Craft markets are held regularly in Havlíčkův Brod in May and November.
