Krucemburk: Hotels and Accommodation

The Catholic Church of St Nicholas in Krucemburk was built in the 13th century. It has a Romanesque sacristy and a Romanesque lower section of the tower dating from the 13th century; the presbytery and the nave were built in the Gothic style in the 15th century.

The Protestant church in Krucemburk was built according to plans by Jan Wurm in the late Classicist Empire style. Its foundation stone was laid on 13 June 1839. In addition to regular services, chamber concerts are held there.

A statue of Saint John of Nepomuk from the early 18th century stands in Krucemburk Square; it has stood there since 1845. Above the town, the Three Crosses were erected in 1778 on the initiative of the priest J. Vrba. The Bink family crypt was built according to a design by the architect Josef Gočár and decorated with a sculpture by the sculptor Jan Štursa.

The Jan Zrzavý Memorial in Krucemburk opened in 2002. It provides information about the artist's life and work and contains extensive visual documentation, including reproductions of several important works.

Ranská jezírka cover 27.21 hectares in the cadastral areas of Havlíčkova Borová and Staré Ransko, which are part of the municipality's administrative area. The area was designated a protected natural feature on 4 October 1990.

There are numerous marked cycle paths around Krucemburk. They mostly run along forest tracks or roads with little traffic. In the surrounding area, the Řeka pond offers swimming, refreshments, and boat and pedal boat rentals. Prepared cross-country ski trails are available in Krucemburk for winter sports.

The “Po stopách partyzánů na Žďársku” route is 30 kilometres long, is not a circular route, starts in Nové Město na Moravě, and ends in Krucemburk. The starting point in Nové Město na Moravě can be reached by train; for the return journey from Krucemburk, the route can be combined with a bus connection.

The Krucemburk Information Centre sells maps and guidebooks. The Krucemburk Tourist Information Centre also provides information about public transport connections.
