Květinov: Hotels and accommodations
A tangible testimony to the history of the village is the Neo-Gothic funerary chapel of the Schmidt family in Květinov, dedicated to the Holy Cross. It was built in 1888 by Marie Schmidtová in memory of her deceased husband, JUDr. Zdenko Schmidt, and their daughter Valérie. Beneath the chapel is an underground family crypt, accessible via a stone spiral staircase and closed by an iron door.
Culture and history
Kvasetice Chateau was built in 1864 in the Neo-Gothic style. The restored Zámek Kvasetice now houses a boutique hotel. The restaurant at Zámek Kvasetice offers a tasting menu made with regional ingredients.
Květinovský Mlýn is located on the Úsobský Stream southeast of Květinov and is already marked on military maps from 1764–1768 and 1836–1852. Its water-powered facility, with a Francis turbine and water wheel, can be visited by arrangement with the owner.
The monument to the victims of the First World War in Květinov was renovated after the original eagle was stolen and subsequently replaced.
Remembrance in Radňov
In the Radňov district, there is a monument to the victims of collectivization. It consists of a three-tiered stone pedestal, an iron cross with a gilded figure of Christ, a commemorative plaque, and a plow. The monument commemorates the dispossession and suffering of farmers under communist rule from 1948 to 1989.
Also in Radňov, the Václav Hojer monument commemorates the local school principal and municipal chronicler. The memorial plaque for Bedřich Hojer commemorates a local landowner who was forcibly expelled from the village with his family in the 1950s.
