Rozsochatec: Hotels and Accommodation
Rozsochatec Castle is listed as a cultural monument. A statue of Saint John of Nepomuk dating from 1714 stands on the dam of the castle pond.
Nature
Two yew shrubs stand in the castle park, their age estimated at 900 to 1,000 years. Two notable free-growing winter lime trees also grow north of the castle grounds; their age is estimated at around four centuries.
History
At the southern edge of Rozsochatec stands a wayside cross stone with a relief of a cross and a partially legible inscription commemorating the killing of a young man on April 4, 1648. The Rozsochatská huť glassworks are also part of the village's history: they are first documented in Rozsochatec in 1786 and were abandoned in 1794 or shortly thereafter.
Hiking and Transport
A yellow-marked hiking trail passes through Rozsochatec and connects Havlíčkův Brod with Chotěboř. A green-marked hiking trail leads from Lysá via Rozsochatec and Česká Bělá to Havlíčkova Borová. In the vicinity of Rozsochatec, a yellow-marked route also leads to Ronovec Castle; the route is approximately 3 km long. Rozsochatec has a railway stop on the line from Havlíčkův Brod to Chotěboř.
Agrotourism
At “Penzion na zámku,” vacationers can, among other activities offered as part of agrotourism, go horseback riding, hunt game, and fish.
Event
The Pivní pochod Rozsochatec takes place on September 26, 2026, along an approximately 20 km route from Rozsochatec via Chrast, Břevnice, Ždírec, and Jilemník back to Rozsochatec.
