The surroundings of Rušinov include Bučina Mountain and Krkanka Mountain. The nearby area also features Na Vrších Hill [Rušinov] and Bučina Hill [Rušinov-Vratkov].
Culture and history
St. Anne’s Church stands in Modletín. It was built toward the end of the 17th century in a simple, almost unornamented Baroque style. The single-nave building has a slightly rectangular nave and a semicircular presbytery.
A wooden chapel originally stood on the site of today’s church, above a spring where, according to tradition, Saint Anne is said to have appeared.
A monument in Rušinov commemorates local residents who fell in the First and Second World Wars. The former rectory belongs to the chapel and is now the headquarters of Benediktus.
Getting around
Regular bus services connect Rušinov with the surrounding municipalities. The nearest railway station is Chotěboř, 12 km away.
The Rušinov–Chotěboř–Česká Bělá–Havlíčkův Brod–Šlapanov cycling route passes through Rušinov.
