Sobíňov: Hotels and Accommodation

The Tvrziště Soběnov fortress site was built to protect the Liběcká stezka. It is located at a point where the Liběcká stezka divided into a footpath and a route for horse-drawn vehicles.

The local cultural history also includes the church of “Kostel Navštívení Panny Marie”. It is located in Sopoty, a settlement in Sobíňov, and has an almost completely preserved Baroque organ.

The Niva Doubravy Nature Reserve protects submontane and montane mat-grass meadows, mesic tall-oat grass meadows, wet great burnet meadows, peatlands and marshes with important plant and animal species associated with these habitats.

The landscape references also extend across several spatial levels. Mount Světka lies in the vicinity of Sobíňov. Mount Žákova hora and Mount Vysoká lie in the wider regional surroundings of Sobíňov. The hill (Kominík) [Chotěboř-Bílek] is located in the immediate vicinity of Sobíňov. Březinka Hill offers views of the peaks of the Ranský Massif and the Žďárské vrchy.

The Naučná stezka Sobíňov begins and ends at the Sobíňov municipal office and is suitable for pedestrians and mountain bikers. One station is dedicated to the CHKO Železné hory Protected Landscape Area. There, visitors learn why the protected area was established and which noteworthy places can be found in the Železné hory.

Another station covers the Liběcká stezka. There, visitors learn more about the former military and later commercial history of this route.
