Štoky: Hotels and Accommodation

The Empire-style House No. 61 in Štoky is also a protected cultural monument. Štoky Castle was built in 1760 in the late Baroque style by the owner of the estate, Karel Josef z Palmů. It also became the administrative centre of the former Střítež estate.

The stone Roland Column in Štoky dates from around 1500. The Baroque statue of Saint John of Nepomuk dates from the first half of the 18th century; the year 1803 is engraved on its pedestal.

The Štoky Battle Memorial commemorates the fighting that took place there from 2 to 5 December 1805. It was ceremonially unveiled on 1 July 2000 and stands on Road No. 38 between Štoky and Antonínův Důl.

The “Circuit around Jihlava via Polná” cycle route runs from Kamenná through Štoky along a section of the blue-marked trail measuring just under 9 km to the Pod Serpentinkou trail junction.

Hanesův mlýn was already standing in 1756. An original educational trail led from the cemetery via Hanesův mlýn to the outdoor swimming pool; it originally had eight stations, but the information boards are now damaged and only three stations remain. The restaurant at Penzion Hanesův mlýn is open only by prior arrangement.
