Dvorce: Hotels and Accommodations

Dvorce lies on both sides of the historic regional border between Bohemia and Moravia. The Jihlava River forms the eastern boundary of the cadastral area; there are rapids on the river near Dvorce. The northern part of the cadastral area also includes part of the Hubenov Reservoir.

Culture and History

Two historical monuments stand in Dvorce’s village square: a stone wayside shrine dating from 1735 and the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk. The chapel was built in 1862 in the Neoclassical style and has been protected as a cultural monument since 1958. In 2019, the wayside shrine in Dvorce was freely accessible.

Dvorce was first mentioned in 1360 as the property of Želiv Monastery. The city of Jihlava acquired the village in 1595 and owned it until the mid-19th century.

Hiking and Trails

A red-marked hiking trail passes by the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk. Another red-marked hiking trail runs from Rantířov via Pekelský mlýn to Dvorce, Cejle, and Čeřínek. A local road also passes through Dvorce, connecting Cejle with road II/602.
