Dyjice: Hotels and accommodations

Dyjice is home to the Dyjické mosty motocross area. Beginners and professionals can ride on the motocross track.

Culture and history

On the rocky hill of Kočičí zámek above the Dyje River stands a small fortification with a circular residential area that has been heavily disturbed secondarily. Sparse finds date the existence of Kočičí zámek to the 13th and 14th centuries. On the accessible sides, a partially filled-in semicircular moat and an outer rampart protect the site.

The chapel on the village square in Dyjice was rebuilt in 1883 at the expense of the municipality and dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Dyjice is also home to a reconciliation monument from 1693.

There is a chapel beside the U Loužku spring. A chapel and a cross stand above the spring; several benches for church services are located nearby.

Landscape and trails

The Březinova stezka hiking trail passes through Dyjice to Nová Říše. It is cleared and clearly marked and is associated with the poet Otokar Březina.

The U Loužku spring feeds the Loužek pond.

The Rozsíčky pastures include notable trees. An old park and a forester's lodge have been preserved at the Rozsíčky pastures.
