Jamné: Hotels and Accommodation

Jamné Chateau dates back to an original fortress from 1591 and has been protected as a cultural monument since May 3, 1958. From this historical starting point, the local highlights lead to sacred architecture, landscapes, trails, and cuisine.

Culture and History

The Church of the Finding of the Holy Cross in Jamné has a central octagonal floor plan and was built between 1702 and 1705 on the site of an earlier chapel. Its furnishings include a rotating altar cross that formerly stood in the fields.

The Baroque statue of Saint John of Nepomuk in Jamné dates from 1740.

Rytířsko Hunting Lodge was probably established sometime after 1736 by the Kounic family. It is a rectangular, single-storey building with a mansard roof, dormer windows, and a small turret.

Landscape and Trails

Significant landscape features in the Jamné area include forests, watercourses, ponds, and valley floodplains.

The 68-kilometre cycling circuit 5215 runs through the Jamné area. It starts and ends in Luka nad Jihlavou and is considered moderately difficult.

A blue-marked hiking trail also runs through the cadastral area of Jamné.

Transport

The D1 motorway runs through the cadastral area of Jamné; Exit 119 is approximately 2.5 kilometres west of the town centre.

Cuisine

Rytířsko Restaurant serves Czech cuisine and welcomes visitors from the surrounding area in addition to hotel guests.
