Hostětice: Hotels and Accommodation

Hostětice has been mentioned in written sources since 1366 as part of the Telč estate; until 1849, the village remained part of the Telč domain. The landscape around Hostětice lies in the transition zone between the agriculturally shaped cultural landscape of the Telč Basin and the compact, forested ridge of the Javořická vrchovina. Woodland groves, meadows and gently rising, rolling terrain define this landscape.

History

The chapel in Hostětice dates from the 1950s and was consecrated at that time. It was renovated into its current form in the summer and autumn of 2019. The Pohlova Villa includes a preserved driveway lined with trees and an extensive garden. The so-called Hostětice cherries are also known from the period of the historic orchard at the Pohlova Villa.

Nature

Částkovická pastvina is a registered significant landscape feature: a short-grass meadow with occurrences of endangered plant species.

Routes

A marked hiking trail runs through Hostětice from Telč via Lhotka to Štamberk and the Kamenné moře. Marked cycle route 1113 leads from Telč through Hostětice onward towards Mrákotín and Světlá.

A new cycle path is now in operation in Hostětice. The Telč–Lipky cycle path joins existing roads near Lipky that connect Hostětice and Vanov. On the return journey to Telč, cycle route 5124 passes through Lhotka, Částkovice and Hostětice; the route then continues to Telč along cycle route 1113.
