The cadastral area of Knínice extends from the Želetavka Valley in the east to the ridge of the Slatinské kopce. The Prokopka stream flows through Knínice. The mountains Špičák, Modrácký kopec, Rudný and U Obrázku are located around Knínice.

Culture

A noteworthy regional example of sacred space and architectural heritage is the Chapel of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Knínice; it is associated with the veneration of the Jesuit saint Francis Xavier.

U Svaté Magdalena is a church in the vicinity of Knínice. The churches U Svatého Křiže and Svatá Markéta are also located around Knínice. Roštejn Castle [Doupě] is located in the wider regional surroundings of Knínice. The prayer book “Decas SS. Stationum” was published for devotion at the ten stations of the Knínice Stations of the Cross.

Water and trails

Husinec Pond is one of the two ponds still preserved in Knínice today and is suitable for swimming. The Apostolská (Knínická) desítka pilgrimage route is approximately 6 kilometres long and includes ten chapels.
