Culture and History

The Church of Saint Wenceslas is a significant architectural landmark in Kostelní Myslová. The first written mention of Kostelní Myslová dates back to 1235. Náglův statek was a mill until 1909. It is a unique Neoclassical building whose character resembles the architecture of a rural manor house. Kostelní Myslová was the birthplace and a place of activity of the Jewish painter František Mořic Nágl.

Nature

The Myslůvka stream flows through Kostelní Myslová. The “Vyhlídka malíře F. M. Nágla” viewpoint is located above the village on the road to Telč and offers seating as well as a beautiful view of the landscape. At the “U rybníka” waypoint, there are stone sluice gates from a former pond. At the same waypoint on the educational trail, there is a stone bearing a hammer mark from 1888.

The “Pěšky krajem malíře F. Nágla” educational trail begins and ends in Kostelní Myslová in the Telčsko region. The trail’s information panels introduce visitors to the work and life of the academic painter František Mořic Nágl.

Cycle route 5123 runs via Sedlejov from Kostelní Myslová to Doupě and is 26 km long.
