Culture and History

Zbilidy combines a protected former smithy in the area of the village square with Maršovský rybník, located on the southeastern edge of the cadastral area. The smithy in Zbilidy, House No. 4, is a protected immovable cultural monument.

The monument to the victims of the First World War in Zbilidy bears the names of 16 victims and dates from 1936. A wayside shrine in Zbilidy dates from 1774 and has three reverse-glass paintings in its upper section. Another wayside shrine beneath a lime tree in Zbilidy is listed as an immovable cultural monument.

Water and Landscape

Maršovský rybník lies southeast of Zbilidy on the edge of the cadastral area. The Maršovský potok runs along the eastern boundary of Zbilidy’s cadastral area and feeds Maršovský rybník. The pond also serves a recreational purpose.

Točíkův mlýn stood below the pond as early as the 18th century and was later converted into a shingle mill. The water-powered shingle mill on the dam of Maršovský rybník is listed as an immovable cultural monument.
