Panenska Rozsicka: Hotels and Accommodation

The Moravská Dyje rises in a meadow between forests, two kilometres north of Panenská Rozsíčka, below Hřeben Hill at an elevation of 653 metres. Depending on the season, spring snowflakes, primroses, daisies, carnations and a yellow iris bloom at the spring.

Nature and Art

The sculptures “Jarní studánka” and the blue-and-white tree sculpture “Zrození” stand at the spring; together, they form the first station of Kristkovy podyjské glyptotéky. The spring is therefore part of the three-country artistic pilgrimage route through the Czech Republic, Austria and Slovakia. Lubo Kristek created this route in 2005–2006; it comprises sculptural stations.

History

The probably oldest mention of Panenská Rozsíčka dates from 1351. From 1538, part of the village belonged to Nová Říše Monastery; the other part, together with Bezděkov and Stejští, became part of the Vencelík estate of Třešť.

Villagescape and Building History

Around the school and in the village square of Panenská Rozsíčka stand about eleven stately lime trees. In the lower part of the village stands a similar cast-iron cross on a granite pedestal bearing the chiselled year 1864. A cast-iron cross on a granite pedestal was erected in 1851.

A school was established in Panenská Rozsíčka. The new school building in Panenská Rozsíčka was consecrated on 31 October 1909. Penzion Dyje was created through the extensive renovation of the local school building.

Ways to the Spring

Near Panenská Rozsíčka, a green-marked hiking trail leads from Třešť to the source of the Moravská Dyje. Cycle Route 5091 passes through Panenská Rozsíčka and then continues for 2.1 km to the source of the Moravská Dyje.
