Dlouhá Brtnice: Hotels and accommodations

The St Wenceslas Church with its rectory in Dlouhá Brtnice is registered as an immovable cultural monument under Czech registration number 28428/7-4788. The first chapel or church building on this site was constructed at the end of the 13th century. The church is fully vaulted and has three altars.

Culture and history

In the vicinity of Dlouhá Brtnice lies Roštejn (Doupě), a castle. U Svatého Křiže and U Svaté Magdalena, two churches, are also located nearby. In the wider regional area lies Janštejn, a ruin.

The atonement cross stone of Dlouhá Brtnice stands on a concrete pedestal in the center of the village, to the left of the road to Hladov. The bas-relief depicts a cross with a sword carved beneath its right arm.

Landscape and nature

Březí and Zejfy, two mountains, are located in the immediate vicinity of Dlouhá Brtnice. Kalvárie and Rozhledna, also mountains, are located nearby.

The forests around Dlouhá Brtnice are suitable for mushroom picking and hiking. The Halabrunka spring is located in a forest southeast of Dlouhá Brtnice. According to local tradition, the water of the Halabrunka spring is said to have healing powers.

Geographical location

The first-class state road I/38 from Jihlava to Znojmo runs through Dlouhá Brtnice and follows the former imperial road from Prague to Vienna.
