Horní Ves: Hotels and Accommodations

In Horní Ves, the Lísek educational trail runs through the municipal forests. It begins at cycle path No. 1213 in Lísek, crosses the Jihlava River and a railway crossing, and continues to a spring above the railway line. At the Lísek educational trail, there is a fire pit and a pavilion on the Jihlávka; bicycles can be safely parked there.

The Nový rybník Nature Reserve is located in the territory of Horní Ves. The Jihlava River passes through the center of the built-up area of Horní Ves.

Trails

The blue hiking trail No. 1260 passes through the administrative area of Horní Ves and runs from Horní Cerekev via Horní Ves to Svatá Kateřina. The established cycle route No. 1213 passes through the administrative area of Horní Ves, through the village center, and continues on a local access road into the municipality of Jihlávka.

Geographical Context

Part of the cadastral area of Horní Ves belongs to the Vysočina Geopark.

Culture and History

The monument to the victims of the First World War in Horní Ves is a historically significant local monument and is of historical value.

The sculpture Anděl strážný was carved for the municipality of Horní Ves by the artist, woodcarver, and sculptor Jan Rázek from Javornice. The vanished Horní hrad fortress was located near Horní Ves. The settlement below Horní hrad was given the name Horní Ves.
