The originally Gothic Church of Saint John the Baptist in Mladé Bříště is mentioned in 1356; it was first mentioned as a chapel on May 7, 1226. In 1726, repairs were carried out on the tower and the ceiling of the nave according to a plan by Jan Santini.

History and culture

The former Tvrz Mladé Bříště fortress has preserved vaults on the ground floor that indicate Renaissance alterations. After the former fortress lost its original function, it was adapted for use as a rectory.

The Orlík ruins, Želivský Kláštor Monastery, and the Church of Saint Anne are located in the vicinity of Mladé Bříště. Further afield in the region are Přední skála mountain and the Janštejn ruins.

Landscape and trails

Špičák mountain is located near Mladé Bříště. The nearby mountains also include Putimovský vrch and Březina.

A blue-marked hiking trail leads to Mladé Bříště and runs through the village down to the Kladinský stream.
