Budišov: Hotels and Accommodation
Budišov Castle stands on the site of a medieval water castle.
Culture
On the Zámecký okruh tour route, visitors can explore previously inaccessible areas such as the Antický and Rybářský Salons, the newly restored Chapel of Saint Anne and the Sala terrena. The restored castle chapel was opened to the public in 2021 and is notable for its extensive High Baroque furnishings from the 18th century.
The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and Saint Gotthard dates back to the 12th century and preserves two Romanesque windows.
Nature
Budišov Castle Park includes four ponds and is partly designed in the French style. Free parking is available at Budišov Castle: a small car park in front of the castle and a larger car park behind the nursery next to the castle park.
The zoological depot at Budišov Castle is open to visitors. The publicly accessible section displays the oldest collections of preserved birds, mammals, fish and amphibians, as well as trophies from hunting expeditions to Africa, Asia and Canada.
