Culture and History
Directly next to Dalešice Chateau stands the Church of St Peter and Paul, a Romanesque-Gothic church dating from the 12th century. The Baroque chateau itself is a single-storey building with an interesting entrance gate.
The Chapel of the Holy Cross is located in the Dalešice cemetery. It dates from 1708 and was built in the Empire style.
A bronze bust in front of the primary school commemorates the poet Vítězslav Nezval. Nezval spent several years with his parents in Dalešice during the holidays and in his free time from his studies. His father was the headmaster there for ten years.
The Dalešice Brewery
The Dalešice Brewery offers a multimedia tour of the historic part of the brewery. It presents the history of the Dalešice Brewery and the production of beer using steam power.
At the Dalešice Brewery Museum, beer is sampled directly in the cellar.
Traditions
The traditional Masopust masked procession in Dalešice has survived to the present day, with a few short interruptions. The procession is organised by the local voluntary fire brigade association.
Cycling and Water
A cycling route of around 51 kilometres around the Dalešice Reservoir passes through Dalešice. After 42 kilometres, it reaches the signpost at the dam of the Dalešice Reservoir.
Bicycles can be taken on the Horácko excursion boat for a fee.
