Okarec: Hotels and Accommodations

Okárec Fortress was probably built in the 14th century, when the village was owned by the local noble family of Okárec. Its remains are visible mainly in the foundations of the present-day building.

The Okarecký Stream flows through the Čikovec and Velké Rozběhlo ponds in the municipality of Okarec. Babí hora is a named landscape feature in the nearby surroundings and is considered a mountain. The surroundings of Okarec also include Horka, Křemel, and Koní hora, three other named landscape features that are considered mountains.

Every year during the holidays, the Okarec–Třesov Hunting Association organizes a children’s day and an evening of entertainment for adults.

Cycling Route 5106 runs from Studenec to Okarec and then continues via Route 5108 toward Hartvíkovice. The cycling route around the Dalešice Reservoir connects Studenec, Okarec, Hartvíkovice, the Dalešice Brewery, Koněšín, and Vladislav.

The route is 39 km long and uses the signposted cycling routes 5106, 5108, 5207, and 5207A. It begins at Studenec railway station and ends at the Vladislav railway stop.
