Nature

Klárka Pond, commonly called Zárubický or “Podevsí,” lies behind Zárubice on the road toward Hrotovice, covers 5.2 hectares, and is one of the largest ponds in the Třebíč District. A structured littoral zone was created at the far end of Zárubický Pond to promote the development of wetland plants and animals. Zárubický Pond is used for recreational purposes.

Culture

The small bell tower of Zárubice stands in the middle of the preserved, picturesque village green; it was built in 1846. The memorial to the victims of the First World War in Zárubice was erected in 1929. In the foreground of the memorial stands a statue of a weeping woman.

The former school building in Zárubice was built in 1898. Part of the former school building was used as an inn and cultural hall. Traditional houses in Zárubice were typically decorated with sculptural façade ornaments in the form of small squares above windows and gates.
