Culture

The Church of Saint Procopius in Domamil was first mentioned in 1220. The late Romanesque building has been given a Baroque makeover and is a parish church with regular services. Since 1958, the church, together with the Baroque group of statues of Saint John of Nepomuk from 1731 standing in front of it, has been a protected cultural monument.

During restoration work on the building, Renaissance paintings were discovered under the plaster in 1929; they were restored in 1943 and 1969. Local cultural heritage elements in Domamil also include the chapel in Zákopy and a group of crosses with mature trees, benches, and other furnishings. The chapel in Zákopy has been renovated.
