The roof spaces of the Church of the Assumption are home to a regionally significant summer colony of greater mouse-eared bats (Myotis myotis); the tower is inhabited by serotine bats (Eptesicus serotinus). The Church of the Assumption is also part of the site of European importance “CZ0723750 Jankovice – kostel”.

The Chapel of Saint Anthony stands behind the village on a road leading deeper into the Chřiby; there, the forest encloses the valley on both sides. The chapel is Jankovice’s second religious building. A spring is located nearby, with the year 1912 carved into its stone vault.

The Church of the Assumption was built between 1839 and 1841 and consecrated on November 21, 1841, by Josef Berdhauer, Dean of Uherské Hradiště. It has been protected as a cultural monument since May 3, 1958; its registry number is ÚSKP 27088/7-3338.

The Chapel of Saint Anthony was built in 1906 by local resident Josef Zgarbík. Jankovice thus has two religious buildings from different periods: the Church of the Assumption, built in the 19th century and later protected, and the chapel from 1906.

Hiking trails from the direction of Kostelany, Salaš and Halenkovice pass through Jankovice. The U Králova stolu spring can be reached from a field track via a worn path and is accessible year-round. The historic Baroque tower clock is subject to different arrangements: it can be viewed year-round by prior telephone appointment.

The Church of the Assumption was included in the Otevřené brány program for the first time. As part of this program, it was open to visitors free of charge from May 1 to September 30; free guided tours and guided visits were offered.
