Nezdenice: Hotels between the Outdoor Pool, Nature and Culture
Nezdenice lies east of Uherský Brod and stretches along both banks of the Olšava. One of the town’s significant natural attractions is Nezdenická kyselka. The spring is located near the local outdoor pool and emerges near Nezdenská skala. In addition to mineral water, it contains a clearly perceptible amount of hydrogen sulfide, which gives the water its characteristic taste and smell.

Nature
The former quarry near the outdoor pool lies in a wooded natural landscape that is frequently used by local residents for recreation. A partially flooded andesite quarry has become the center of a natural area known in Nezdenice as Nezdenská skala. This means that different landscape elements are located side by side around the outdoor pool: a former mining site, wooded areas and the spring with its distinctive water properties.
Water
The outdoor pool has a 33-meter-long swimming pool with a slide and diving board, as well as a small round children’s pool. During the summer months, it is used for leisure and recreation. Its location provides opportunities for trips and walks in the surrounding area. The pool’s specific facilities and seasonal use thus form an independent part of the town’s features alongside the spring and natural area.
Culture
The Church of St. Peter and Paul is a cultural monument in Nezdenice. Its core dates from the end of the 14th century. The presbytery dates from the 17th century; the church was remodeled further at a later date. A chapel from the first half of the 19th century stands on Brodská Street behind the cemetery. The chapel in Nezdenice can be reached over sloping terrain via a paved concrete access ramp. It offers a fairly wide, almost panoramic view of the surrounding area. The church and chapel are therefore among the various sacred buildings associated with Nezdenice, each with its own chronological context.
Things to Do
The Nezdenský tourists organize an annual autumn hike. Traditionally, a march from Luhačovice to Nezdenice takes place on New Year’s Eve. There is also a named cycling route connected with the town: the 11-kilometer Bojkovská magistrála cycling route passes through Nezdenice. The hike, march and cycling route represent three clearly distinct ways in which routes are connected with the town.
