Lázy: Views, Hiking Trails and Wallachian Culture
From Lázy, there are far-reaching views of the Kelečská pahorkatina, the Bečva Valley towards Hranice, the Beskids and the Vsetínské vrchy. Another named natural feature of the municipality is the Lípa v Lázech lime tree. It is designated as an isolated natural monument of the large-leaved lime (Tilia platyphyllos).
Culture and History
The typical Wallachian wooden bell tower in the centre of Lázy was built in 1925 and is a protected cultural monument. The bell in the bell tower of Lázy bears an inscription with the name Volfgang Adam Straub from Olomouc and the year 1848. Another historical connection dates from 1854 to after 1900: at that time, Lázy was home to a manufactory producing stoneware ceramics. The manufactory used local clay to make red majolica with a white glaze on the inside.
Hiking and Cross-Country Skiing
A yellow-marked hiking route from Oznice to Pržno passes through Lázy. This route is approximately 13.5 kilometres long and is primarily recommended for hikers. A considerably longer connection is formed by the Hostýnská magistrála, which runs from Svatý Hostýn to Lázy. The main section is moderately difficult, more than 19 kilometres long and crosses side routes at seven points. The Hostýnská magistrála is also a groomed and marked cross-country skiing route through the Hostýnské vrchy.
Cycling Routes and Other Trails
Several cycling routes also pass through or lead to Lázy. Cycle Route No. 6216 runs from Valašské Meziříčí via Poličná, Branky, Police, Podolí and Lázy back to Valašské Meziříčí. Route 6118 follows the marked Hostýnská magistrála to Lázy.
Another route from Valašské Meziříčí via Lázy and Rajnochovice to the Rozhledna Kelčský Javorník observation tower passes through Lázy. The route from Valašské Meziříčí via Jarcovská Kula to Lázy reaches Lázy via the Cyrilometodějská stezka. Thus, alongside the hiking trail and the Hostýnská magistrála, there are also cycling and long-distance routes with their own alignments.
Anyone planning a stay in Lázy can initially compare the displayed offers objectively. Before booking, it is worth checking the exact location, type of accommodation, occupancy and individual price components of each offer. You can also check which services are included and which booking or cancellation conditions apply. Depending on your travel plans, the stated overnight dates and the complete terms and conditions may also be relevant. The specific information published in each listing remains decisive. This makes it possible to compare the selection by price, scope of services and conditions, while the sights and trails of Lázy remain described independently of this. Different rate models may also involve prepayment, payment timing, a deposit, a minimum stay or a possible change in occupancy; these points should likewise be clearly stated directly on the respective offer page. This keeps the differences between seemingly similar offers comprehensible.
