Šarovy presents several clearly distinguishable forms of local history. Sacred landmarks, archaeological remains, a route through the landscape and traditional events each stand in their own context. Those who do not judge the place solely by its size or renown, but pay attention to the individual landmarks, encounter different scales: a sacred space, structural remains, a path through the landscape and named dates associated with local customs. These perspectives can be considered independently and together create a specific picture of the place.

Culture

The chapel in Šarovy was consecrated to Our Lady of Lourdes in May 1947. Its small tower contains the original bell from the former wooden belfry. A historic stone cross dating from 1759 has been preserved in Šarovy; it was erected by Matěj Hruboš in memory of his deceased daughter. These landmarks therefore center both on a named religious dedication and on a personally motivated memorial.

History

The Šarov Castle site is one of the significant archaeological localities. The surviving remains of Šarov Castle include a fortified site surrounded by a rampart and moat, as well as a former outer bailey.

Location

Šarov Castle lies approximately 1 km south of the church in Šarovy on the left bank of the Březnice. Its location is therefore explicitly defined both by the approximate distance and by its position relative to the river.

Landscape

The Stations of the Cross in Šarovy date from 2008. They comprise fourteen numbered stations and ascend along a sunken lane from Šarovy into the fields. Along its route, the religious form of the Stations of the Cross is combined with a precisely described movement from the village into the open field landscape.

Tradition

The Šarovská chasa organizes traditional Slovácké hody s právem on the first Saturday in November. The Šarovský fašank was announced in Šarovy for 2026. In addition to the historical landmarks mentioned above, organized customs and events scheduled for specific dates are therefore also among Šarovy’s distinct themes.

The fields that can be checked include the exact location, the type of accommodation and the stated occupancy. Included services, individual price components, and booking and cancellation conditions are also relevant. When comparing several offers, checking the same fields helps keep the differences clearly visible. This allows you to decide which option you wish to pursue based on the specific conditions stated. For budget-conscious planning, price components and any possible additional costs should be considered separately. The name of a place alone does not reveal any characteristics of an accommodation. For your own planning, it is advisable not only to read the stated occupancy but also to compare it with the actual number of people intended to stay. Included services, price components, and booking and cancellation conditions should each be recorded as separate points to check.
