Didi Mitarbi lies on the northern slopes of the Trialeti Range in the Mitarbula River valley and is surrounded by coniferous forests and subalpine meadows. The village is seasonally connected to the hiking trail network of Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park and supports high-altitude tourism. The national park offers hikes, horseback riding, cycling tours, snowshoe hikes, as well as cultural and educational tours.
