Fort I of the Kaunas Fortress is located near Ringaudai. It is equipped for visits, and celebrations, guided tours, and educational activities with horses take place there. The fort was built between 1882 and 1889 and reconstructed from the late 19th to the early 20th century. In addition to major annual events, the Ringaudai Leisure Hall organizes educational activities, civic initiatives, creative workshops, and meetings with local and other artists. The sculpture “Dviračio skulptūra” in Ringaudai was created by sculptor Danielius Sodeika and architect Violeta Beigienė.
The “Ringauda” folklore ensemble sings the songs mentioned there and contributes to passing on the singing tradition in this region. The Jorė Festival takes place on Pyplių piliakalnis.
On the cycling route, cyclists can visit Pyplių piliakalnis. Steps lead to the top of the hill, from where there are views of the Nemunas and the towers of the Raudondvaris church. According to local legends and the Lithuanian historians Zenonas Ivinskis and Kazimieras Paunksnys, the Pilėnai Castle, which was destroyed in 1336, may have stood there.
“Žaidimų namas” is a venue for children's parties in Ringaudai. Celebrations for children's birthdays, school graduations, baptisms, and other family occasions are offered there.
Nature
The nearby Karvelių ąžuolas English oak is a botanical natural heritage site of Lithuania and has a trunk circumference of more than 7 metres.
The nearby Obelynė Park covers approximately 6.5 hectares. It is a botanical park founded by the naturalist and professor Tadas Ivanauskas on his estate in Akademija. Its collection comprises more than 300 species and varieties of trees and shrubs; ginkgo and dawn redwood grow in the park.
Educational bread-baking programmes are offered at the nearby Pyplių ūkis.
