Stalowa Wola – Culture, Nature and Leisure

The approximately 5 km-long “Ciemny Kąt” nature trail runs through managed forests within the boundaries of Stalowa Wola. Those interested in culture can visit, among other places, a regional museum with a permanent exhibition on the former town of Rozwadów, as well as a historic church complex and a gallery in a former courthouse.

The leisure options also vary considerably: the indoor swimming pool has three pools, a tube slide and two saunas. At Błonia Nadsańskie, kilometres of paths cater to walkers and cyclists; Zimnej Wody Park has a skatepark, pump track and roller-skating rink.

The museum also offers guided educational tours around the city for groups of at least 10 people.

The parish church complex of St Florian at 5 Floriańska Street consists of a wooden church and a freestanding bell tower. It is listed under registration number A-203, dated 24.04.2007. Galeria Malarstwa Alfonsa Karpińskiego is located in a listed former courthouse built in 1905.

Rozwadowski Dom Kultury „Sokół” also combines a cultural role with a specific history: it is a branch of Miejski Dom Kultury in Stalowa Wola and organises cultural education programmes and events. The building was donated by the town’s residents in 1906 for Towarzystwo Gimnastyczne „Sokół”.

During the published season, Rozwadowski Targ Staroci takes place every third Sunday of the month from 7:00 to 14:00. Admission is free for people wishing to buy something. The market can be reached directly by local public transport or the city’s bike rental service. As the stated times apply to the season, bear in mind that they are seasonal when planning your visit.

Stalowa Wola lies on the themed Turystyczny Szlak Gniazd Rodowych Lubomirskich; the Szlak Architektury Drewnianej also passes through the city. Muzeum Regionalne w Stalowej Woli is also recommended as an MPR—a bicycle-friendly place—on the eastern route of Green Velo.
